Aging Re-Imagined 1.5
Wed, May 3, 2017, 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM EDT
In March of 2016, a group of dedicated faculty from Wake Forest University’s Reynolda and Medical campuses hosted the inaugural symposium for Aging Re-Imagined. This symposium brought together faculty, staff, students, and members of the Winston Salem community to discuss the topic of aging from many different perspectives through four key ideas that inform how we age, and how we think and feel about aging: Mobility, Mind (including memory), Mortality, and Meaning. Leading scholars, artists, medical professionals and researchers whose work focuses on this vital, inter-sectional topic were there to share their insight on this topic.
As a continuation of this original symposium the founding group is happy to announce an upcoming symposium named Aging Re-Imagined 1.5. This event will be one day, May 3rd, 2017 and will include more topics on aging. Aging Re-Imagined 1.5 will be held on the Reynolda Campus of Wake Forest University in Broyhill Auditorium, located inside Farrell Hall. The speakers will include T. Lee Covington, Dr. Nir Barziali, and Ms. Jennie Smith-Peers.
