Aging Artfully
Event Information
Description
"Creative aging is what we accomplish not in spite of aging, but because of aging...aging itself can be a catalyst for rich new experiences, offering a way to renew passions and reinvent oneself." --Dr. Gene D. Cohen.
The arts are a way of exploring meaning and purpose. For older adults, discovering creative passions allows for new reflection and a deeper appreciation of life's beauty. Join Manhattan Borough President Gale A. Brewer at a free special event for seniors focusing on the benefits of aging artfully, featuring panels, exhibits and a special film screening of My Annie Hall, a remake of Woody Allen's classic hit starring two members of a Manhattan senior center. (The film was recently profiled in the New York Times.)
