Event description

Description

Whether you're building a website, mobile app, or game, managing cross-sectional teams of business analysts, designers, developers, and marketers can prove challenging at times. At Fifth Tribe, we've built over 50 websites, mobile apps, and games in the past 6 years and have experimented with a few different project management approaches.

We found great success when we switched over to Agile Scrum - but it wasn't easy! We're offering a special FREE class to help startups, non-profits, and government agencies learn the basics of this AWESOME development approach called Agile Scrum.

The class will cover the following topics:
- Software Development Life Cycle
- Overview of Agile Philosophy
- Key Roles: Scrum Master, Product Owner, Technical Team
- Activities: Sizing, Planning, Sprints, Demos, Retros
- Product Roadmap Template
- Exercises
- Q and A

For the purposes of this class, we'll be using Jira, Confluence, and Slack to demonstrate what agile looks like in action. This class is perfect for people with limited knowledge of web development.

The class will be taught by Adam Motiwala, Certified Scrum Master, and Partner at Fifth Tribe.
