Agile Leadership

Agile Values

Through warm-up activities, we’ll establish a basic, shared understanding of what agility is and why it’s valuable. Along the way, we’ll define some typical agile roles, terms, cultural norms, and practices.

Fundamental Skills

We’ll explore the importance of three fundamental practices for leadership and management in an agile organization: Listening, Vision, and Servant Leadership.

Management Techniques

We’ll explore the utility and relevance of some common management techniques in an agile context: Acting/Delaying; Enablement; Conflict Management; Delegation; Adaptive Management; Providing Feedback. We’ll also workshop how to lead an agile team or functional group through a transition.

Metrics and assessment

We’ll explore what managers in agile companies measure, why, how to analyze metrics for issues, and how to respond to problems.
