What is this course aboout?

Workshop is practical taste of agile methods and Scrum process. During the course you will learn key items of agile techniques and procedures. You will gain overview about differences between traditional and agile project management, how to create value with agile techniques and why agile approaches are important. You will gain better understanding of job of Scrum Master and member of agile team.

Course is interactive workshop with great number of exercises, where you will try Scrum process, application of key procedures, non-traditional ways of planning and how to manage product documentations or reporting. You will learn, how to set up agile team, how to control it and how to monitor its dynamics. You will learn how to adapt to changes and do not afraid of them. In theoretical part we will show you, when to use Scrum what are its advantages and disadvantages and what is job description of each role.

One-Day version

Is focused on the Scrum process itself and its specific characteristics. Workshop is intensive, it starts at 8:00 and ends around 17:30. Course program typically includes:

  • Introduction to Scrum and values, including Scrum Values
  • Change management in Scrum (a typical mistakes)
  • Roles in Scrum, who is doing what and what does not, combination of roles
  • Role of Scrum Master
  • Scrum process – artefacts and activities
  • Deliveries of business value
  • Backlog and its characteristics
  • What are User Stories and how to work with them
  • Estimation and planning
  • Presentation of results - Demo
  • Retrospective – short version


Course consists of blocks of presentations, interactive exercises + related debriefings, thematic discussions and videos.
