Description

Exploring Earth and Space

tag! You’re a NASA Scientist!

Join us at tag! Children’s Museum for out of this world fun as we Explore Our Earth, Sun, and Universe. This family workshop offers hands-on, interactive experiences and amazing imagery that connect you with current NASA science research to explore our Earth and the universe. Activities developed by the National Informal STEM Education Network (NISE Network) include exploring the sun’s surface using a Sun Scope, making your own electroscope, learning to locate objects in space, using an infrared camera to detect the invisible, creating a pocket solar system, designing, building and testing your own spacecraft, and discovering Earth’s water systems – investigating clouds, mapping rising seas and Earth’s temperatures, and the importance of land cover. Each family will take home their spacecraft, a pocket solar system, and NASA apps to become a citizen scientist.

*1 Family team ($25) = child/children, 5 and older accompanied by at least 1 parent/guardian
