Agentic Coding 101

This four-hour beginner workshop introduces participants to agentic coding and how AI coding tools can work more like real collaborators, not just autocomplete assistants.

The session will focus on two key features: Agents, which are specialised assistants with their own scope, instructions, and tools; and Skills, which are reusable instruction packs that agents can use when needed. Participants will gain a basic understanding of how these features can support coding workflows and improve productivity.

Prerequisites:

• Bring your own laptop (Windows, macOS, or Linux laptop required)
• Install the required tools (Node.js 18 or newer, Python 3.10 or newer, Git, and a code editor)
• Participants need an active ChatGPT Plus subscription for Codex access.
• A setup guide will be emailed before the workshop.
