Agave Tip Tasting Club: Mexican Spirits Series I
Tuesday, March 12, 2013 from 6:30 PM to 9:00 PM (PDT)
San Francisco, CA
Be part of our exclusive comparative tasting and savor different expressions from each category with a total of eight spirits! Become one of the first to try La Venenosa raicilla! Esteban Morales will be joining us via Skype, along with Ryan Fitzgerald from Del Maguey Single Village Mezcal and tequila maven Ashley Miller!
The libations we will indulge are some of the best of their kind. Del Maguey has a very interesting spectrum of flavors from Oaxaca, reflecting millenary traditions and cultures from a number of different places and microclimates. Siete Leguas is one of the best artisanal tequilas in the market, with its very distinctive flavors coming from the red soils of the highlands of Atotonilco, Jalisco. La Venenosa raicilla is a fascinating approach to one of the oldest Mexican distillates; it is produced in Mascota, Jalisco and has very distinctive flavors that will blow your mind.
Tickets are $60 and include the tasting of 3 tequilas, 3 mezcales, 2 raicillas, snacks and the experience. All proceeds go toward the BCCAC's mission of preserving and advancing the cocktail and saloon culture of the San Francisco Bay Area. Tickets are only available online and cannot be paid at the door due to limited supplies.

Bart Civic Center stop is 1.5 blocks away and we are centrally located for easy taxi access.
PLEASE EAT BEFOREHAND, as these spirits can be a lot for some people. You certainly don't have to drink them all, but we recommend you eat before class. Students must be 21 years old and older and will be identified at the beginning of class.
