Event description

Description

Join our celebration of Mexican Independence Day at our next Agave Girls dinner and tequila extravaganza on Tuesday, September 17, hosted by the original Agave Girl herself, Joanne Weir. Joanne is a PBS Chef, author of Kitchen Gypsy: Recipes and Stories from a Lifelong Romance with Food, and Tequila: A Guide to Types, Flights, Cocktails and Bites, among her dozen-plus books. Joanne is the host and producer of PBS's "Plates & Places" which recently won the "Best New Series" Taste Award.

Debuted in 2006, Joanne Weir's Agave Girls offers a celebratory environment to enjoy and appreciate the flavor and history of tequila as well as raise a glass to Mexican independence, a political and social achievement that marked the end of Spanish rule in 1812. Attendees will enjoy passed appetizers, tequila tasting flights, as well as a three-course dinner paired with tequila cocktails, highlighting the distinctive spirits of our wonderful sponsor, Herradura. If you love amazing food, cocktails, and great company, you won't want to miss out on this entertaining and enlightening evening.

Hurry, get your tickets fast ― our previous Agave Girls events sold out weeks before they occured!
