Audio Conference Description

The DATA Act standardizes and consolidates federal spending data – financial data, award data, and all related information, which was previously difficult to identify and access. This data set now allows analysis across the entire federal government, exploration of risk, and identification of potential fraud, waste and abuse.

This session summarizes the recommended steps for agencies to perform analytics and includes a discussion of potential use cases of the standardized data sets.

Moderator

  • Glenn Peters, CGFM, Principal, Kearney and Co

Learning objectives:

At the end of the webinar, participants will be able to address the following questions when performing analytics:

  1. What is the DATA Act and how does it impact the federal government?
  2. How can federal agencies use data generated in support of the DATA Act?
  3. How can federal agencies improve the quality of their data?
