Register for this beginning watercolor painting workshop at The Foster in Palo Alto with science illustrator Mattias Lanas. After an introductory breakfast, we will spend the morning observing artist-explorer Tony Foster's paintings, paying special attention to the artist's technique. Then, collectively, we will delve into the basics of watercolor painting, covering terminology associated with the medium, practicing technique, and finally working on our own compositions drawing inspiration from the Foster's work. This is a beginner workshop, but artists at all levels are welcome. Please reach out to mattias@thefoster.org with any questions and regarding dietary restrictions.
