Event description
8 Week Parent and Child Yoga Series

About this event

Join AFSN at Pleasant Park Thursdays during May and June for an hour of yoga focused on wellness and connection! Treat yourself and enjoy some time with your child out in the fresh air!

This is an eight week series of yoga for adoptive, foster and kinship families only.

You can attend just one or all of the classes in the series, registration is required. Plenty of space to be socially distanced and enjoy some fresh air and connection.

Class will consist of yoga, breathing and some mindfulness practices. We will move, breathe, notice and hopefully feel great. No yoga experience is necessary! Classes accessible to every body.

Please bring a yoga mat, if you do not have one we will provide a mat for you. You may want a beach towel/blanket/sheet to put under your mat.

This event is open to any adoptive, foster, kinship or guardianship families and is funded in part by the Heart of West Michigan United Way.

For questions please email afsn@dabsj.org or call 855-642-4727.

Organizer ADOPTIVE FAMILY SUPPORT NETWORK (AFSN)

Organizer of AFSN - Family Yoga In The Park

AFSN became a service of D.A. Blodgett - St. John's in 2015, but has been supporting the lifelong wellbeing of adoptive families since 1991.

Adoption is a unique way to form a family, and families need a unique kind of support to make it work. Children need forever homes, and the resources of AFSN help parents find the courage to adopt. AFSN is is a community providing adoptive parents the tools and confidence to be successful parents. Love, combined with confidence can equip any family to grow together. We support and nurture parents and children after adoption so they can grow into strong, healthy and loving families.
