Description

Welcome to AFROBEAT!

AFROBEAT: The Workshop is a 2-session series that starts with AFROBEAT Fitness, a dance fitness workout class that is heavily influenced by African, the Caribbean, and other Diasporic rhythms. AFROBEAT Fitness is then followed by Ijo Choreo, where members get to test their skills at some Afrobeat and dancehall moves put together in choreography. Taught by Kemi O, this dynamic dance duo experience is fun, new, and energetic; it allows you to let yourself go and let your silly side run amock just for a moment. This workshop is perfect for all who enjoy music or like to move. If you are interested in something new, or you're down with the culture and want to spend some time loving yourself and enjoying your heritage, this experience is for you!

And guess what...its FREE! so bring your friends, register early and get ready to dance!

*Workshop open to Johns Hopkins students and affiliates. Each affiliate can bring one guest.
