Continuing with the Afro-Mexican celebration, we're excited to host internationally acclaimed artist Tomas Pineda Matus at Mercado369!
About this event
Tomas Pineda was born in Chicapa de Castro, Juchitan, Oaxaca, Mexico in 1968. His work reflects the AfroMexican culture and traditions. His pieces have been exhibited in Spain, Cuba, Japan, California, and across Mexico.
To continue with the AfroMexican Celebration, come meet Tomas Pineda Matus and learn about his life story on Saturday, February 8th at 11AM for our monthly FREE Art Talk.
Get a unique hands-on experience with Tomas in the "Making of" Workshop where you will create your own work of art with his guidance! This workshop will feature his technique using marble powder and acrylics to create beautiful canvases. Seating is limited - tickets are $40, all materials provided. Workshop will begin at 2:00PM.
