The African Union Expo LLC, & Graduate Center for Worker Education, Go Africa Capital LLC, Go Caribbean Inc, NYS African Chamber of Commerce & The Go Africa Network Inc. are proud to present the 4th annual African Union Expo event to be held in NYC in downtown Manhattan.


This year’s event is focused on helping the small entrepreneurs, companies, startups, independent artists, general contractors, & performers, in short anyone who is looking to improve their business operations & long-term success.

The theme’s this year's Expo are:

  • Getting your products & Services on-line nationally in a effecient and cost effective manner
  • Business best practices
  • access to captial and third party sources

Details for the expo and sessions are below:

Topics and breakout sessions to be covered during this 1-day expo event are as follows:

  • 9am -10am Attendee arrival and registration for sessions (Coffee & snacks will be provided)
  • 10am opening ceremony: By Manhattan Borough President Gale Brewer and Athena B. Moore, Director, Northern Manhattan Office of the Manhattan Borough President, African Dignitary, TBA
  • 10:30am Opening panel for Q&A TBA
  • 11:00 am -4:30pm Breakout sessions (working lunch)
  • 11:00am – 1:00pm Session A: Getting your business online in e-commerce (hands on and in real time (please bring you detailed information on your products and services that can be entered online)
  • 11:30pm – 1:00pm Session B: Understanding the importance of a business plan
  • 1:00pm – 1:30pm: Session C: Accessing crowd funding & Micro-Lending sources
  • 2:00pam – 4:00pm Session D: Getting your business online in e-commerce (hands on and in real time (please bring you detailed information on your products and services that can be entered online)
  • 2:30pm - 5:00pm business idea or concept Contest (for entrepreneurs, startups and small companies)
  • 1:30pm -2:00pm: Session E: Cost effective services for your business
  • 2:00pm – 2:30pm: Session F: Using e-commerce effectively
  • Closing ceremony & 5:00pm – 7pm:(Networking and happy hour

Are there ID or minimum age requirements to enter the event?

ID is required. age is 16 and higher

What are my transportation/parking options for getting to and from the event?

Parking is located across the street. Local subways are , Bowling Greent Station for the 4,5, trains, or Whitehall St for the [1,2,R] trains or Fulton street Station for A,C,4,5,M & 2&3 trains.
