The 3rd Annual African Arts & Cultural Festival (AFRICANFEST-NYC) will take place at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel School – 285 Clove Road (Corner of Clove & Castleton Avenue), Staten Island, New York 10310. The outoor festival will begin at 12:00 pm on Saturday, August 17th, 2019; and end at 7:00 pm, on Sunday, August 18th, 2019.
AFRICANFEST-NYC showcases visual and performing arts, as well as the culture of people of African descent. Artists who participates in the festival are Diasporas from Nigeria, Ghana, Burkina Faso, Sudan, Gambia, Zambia, Togo, Congo, Uganda, Somalia, Eritrean, Ethiopia, Burundi, Sierra Leone, the Caribbean and African Nova Scotian Community. Their artistic works include visual arts, drumming, jazz, hip-hop, gospel, spoken-word and more.
NACA (USA), INC, is a community-based, not-for-profit, non-religious, non-ethnic and non-partisan association originally founded to address the needs of the New York City’s expanding Nigerian and African immigrant community.
Since its inception, NACA (USA), Inc., has grown rapidly as a all-volunteer group providing culturally sensitive advocacy services to children, adolescents and adults and their families within New York State and other parts of the United States
