A fun and engaging African drumming and dance class for children of all ages. Children will learn songs, rhythms and dances from Gambia, Senegal and Guinea. Sessions led by Gambian drummer Seneke Sillah and Chantelle Michaux who has over 15 years' experience teaching African dance to children in schools and community settings across East London. All workshop leaders are DBS checked. All drums provided. Participants will be given opportunities to take part in community performances.
Sessions cost £3.00 per session and are payable 4 weekly in advance. Sessions operate during term time only. First session taster offered free of charge.
Please note that there will be a half term break on Tuesday 14th February 2017.
What are my transport/parking options getting to the event?
Gnome House is 3 minutes' walk from Blackhorse Road station on the Victoria Line. There is no parking at the venue but 30 minute spaces for drop off in roads adjacent to the building. Controlled parking in the area ceases at 6.30pm.
