Description

Oakland History Center librarian Dorothy Lazard presents a talk on the growth of Oakland’s African American community during a period of enormous change in the city. She will share stories of the political and cultural movers and shakers who helped Oakland become one of California’s most progressive cities. A slide show will accompany this presentation.
