Description

In honor of Black History Month, a special presentation on African American genealogy will take place at the Cape Girardeau Public Library. Advanced genealogy research methods will be showcased as participants are led through the life of Dennis Jackson, a former slave who lived and died in Cape Girardeau. Handouts on navigating African American genealogy will be given out, along with tips for researching specifically in the Cape Girardeau area.
