Miss Ndileka Mandel Bio

Miss Ndileka is the CEO & Founder of the Thembekile Foundation. She founded the Thembekile Mandela Foundation because she understood personally, as his first grandchild from his first son Thembekile, his unwavering belief in the benefits of excellent education and health systems in building a thriving nation.

Miss Mandela mission is to build a caring Foundation that will serve communities it interacts with by creating and supporting health and educational initiatives to promote youth development through supporting rural education and safety in schools in partnership with public and private partners.

Her objectives:

  • Promoting education and health programmes in identified communities,

  • Ensuring that all adopted schools have equipped libraries, science and computer laboratories,

  • Supporting youth development in identified areas,

  • Supporting HIV and Aids programmes and other health initiatives in identified schools and communities,

  • Promoting rural education and safety in schools

  • Facilitating the building and revamping of identified schools in partnership with the National Department of Basic Education and other partners.

Our Mission is to enhance cultural awareness of the African American community through leadership development, with a special focus on self-esteem, academic success, college preparation and job readiness for youth.

  • Platinum -$10,000 Underwriter

  • Name and logo on marketing literature, 1 page ad in program, website logo, free booth space at the Juneteenth Festival, one reserved table -10 free tickets for black-tie dinner, and Meet & Greet.

  • Gold-$5,000

  • Name on and logo on marketing literature ½ page ad in the program, website logo, free booth space at Juneteenth Festival, and one reserved table 5 free tickets to the black-tie dinner, and Meet & Greet.

  • Silver-$2,500

  • Name on flyer and poster, ¼ page ad in pageant program, free seating for 3, name listed on website and free booth space at Juneteenth Festival.

  • Bronze-$1000

  • Name on flyer/posters, business card sized ad in program, and 2 tickets for black-tie dinner, and name listed on website.

  • Individual $150: One ticket black-tie dinner.

  • In-kind Donation, your name listed on marketing materials.

What can/can't I bring to the event?

The following items are strictly prohibited in the event:

  • Liquid, including water

  • Food or beverage of any kind, including fruit and unopened packaged food

  • Aerosol containers

  • Non-aerosol sprays (Prescriptions for medical needs are permitted.)

  • Any pointed object, e.g., knitting needles and letter openers (Pens and pencils are permitted.)

  • Any bag larger than 18” wide x 14” high x 8.5” deep

  • Electric stun guns, martial arts weapons or devices

  • Guns, replica guns, ammunition and fireworks

  • Knives of any size

  • Mace and pepper spray

  • Razors and box cutters
