The Conference seeks to explore the place of Development Journalism and Media in Africa towards achieving the Sustainable Development Goals as outlined by the United Nations.

The conference is organised by Africa Media Development Foundation (AMDF) and supporting partners and is expected to attract journalists, bloggers, social media influencers, civil society activists, academics and SDG related organisations among others, to share their best experiences and to use their knowledge to expand the field of development Journalism.

AMDF believes that no development programme, or project can succeed without the active engagement of Media. This is because the media has the ability to influence and cause change in individual’s behaviour and lifestyle, as well as mobilising communities for positive action.
