Description

The AFRAM Festival is a celebration of African American life, music and culture. This family-oriented event is filled with entertainers, children’s activities, arts, history, education, financial literacy, employment & job training, health & wellness and more. The Baltimore AFRAM Festival is presented by Mayor Catherine E. Pugh and the City of Baltimore with the support of the advisory board and steering committee. The festival takes place on Saturday, August 11 and Sunday, August 12, 2018, at Druid Hill Park. Make your plans now to attend the 2018 Baltimore AFRAM.

Q1. WHERE IS THE FESTIVAL?
The AFRAM Baltimore Festival is located in historic, beautiful Druid Hill Park at 3001 East Drive.

Q2. WHEN IS THE FESTIVAL?
AFRAM is a two-day festival that takes place August 11-12, 2018.

Q3. WHAT ARE THE FESTIVAL HOURS?
Saturday, August 11 from 12:00pm -8:00pm and Sunday, August 12 from 12:00pm - 6:00pm.

AFRAM is FREE to the public. VIP tickets are available at a cost.

Q8. WILL THE AFRAM BE CANCELED IF IT RAINS?
AFRAM is rain or shine! However, if the National Weather Service issues an inclement weather warning within the festival area, an announcement will be made. All activites will conclude until the warning has lifted.

Q9. WHAT CAN I BRING TO AFRAM?
We want you to be AFRAM ready. Please review the following list to comply with our standards for a positive festival experience:

Q10. WHAT IS NOT ALLOWED AT AFRAM?
To ensure your safety, the following items and activities are prohibited:

Alcohol
Smoking
Glass containers
Weapons of any kind
Lighters
Grills
Pets
Personal radios
Drones
Unauthorized retail items
Q11. IS PUBLIC PARKING AVAILABLE?
Yes, parking will be aviailable and free to the public. However, spaces are limited and use of tranist options is highly recommended.

Q14. I PLAN TO USE PUBLIC TRANSPORATION TO GET TO AFRAM. WHAT ARE MY OPTIONS?

Q15. WILL CONSTRUCTION NEAR THE RESERVOIR AFFECT MY AFRAM EXPERIENCE?
The construction will not hender your festival experience.

Q16. HOW CAN I GET CASH ONSITE?
Refer to our site map when it becomes available. There will be three ATM stations throughout the festival.

Q16. WHAT IF I NEED MEDICAL ATTENTION?
We will have EMS onsite, view our sitemap for the specific location. Also, Baltimore police and Baltimore fire will be onsite.
