Journalists, news media editors, and producers from some of the most respected news organizations, including ABC News, PBS, The New York Times, The Root, and The Daily Beast will join New York Women in Film and Television (NYWIFT) members Paula Landry, MBA & Christina Brown Fisher for a discussion about where the industry is headed.

Multimedia journalism and storytelling has brought about revolutionary change in news and online information – but what’s the trick to pulling in audiences?

Jay Alpert is a Peabody award-winning journalist with nearly 20 years of experience in communication fields. He is currently a writer/producer for ABC’s Good Morning America in New York. Danielle Belton is the Editor-in-Chief of leading black news site, The Root. Previously, she was an editor and writer for the award-winning pop culture-meets-politics blog The Black Snob. As a journalist, Belton has written for The New York Times, The Daily Beast, Essence Magazine, The Guardian, The American Prospect, Jezebel, NPR, The Huffington Post, and many others.
