Houston is BILLIONS in debt. Let's stop the cycle of overspending!
Houston’s total outstanding debt is $26 Billion; Detroit declared bankruptcy at $19 Billion in 2013 1
Moody’s credit outlook for Houston is rated “negative” 1
Because of Houston’s unfriendly business environment, high fees and lengthy building permitting process, 75% of Houston-area growth and construction are in unincorporated parts of Harris County outside Houston 2
Houston traffic and potholes are at “crisis” levels, with the majority of the taxpayer money set aside for pothole repair remaining unspent 3
With twice the rate of low-performing schools as the state average, Houston schools are broken, too. Fifty-eight schools, more than one out of five, fail to meet state standards (rated “improvement required)
We Can Fix Houston if we make our voices heard! Government goes to those who show up. Let's make sure freedom loving Texans show up to vote!
Early voting starts October 19th!
Election Day is November 3rd!

Americans for Prosperity - Texas
Americans for Prosperity - Texas (AFP-TX) is committed to educating citizens about economic policy and mobilizing those citizens as advocates in the public policy process. AFP is an organization of grassroots leaders who engage citizens in the name of limited government and free markets on the local, state, and federal levels. AFP grassroots activists advocate for public policies that champion the principles of entrepreneurship and fiscal and regulatory restraint. To that end, AFP supports:
- Cutting taxes and government spending in order to halt the encroachment of government in the economic lives of citizens by fighting proposed tax increases and pointing out evidence of waste, fraud, and abuse.
- Removing unnecessary barriers to entrepreneurship and opportunity by sparking citizen involvement early in the regulatory process in order to reduce red tape.
- Restoring fairness to our judicial system.
