AFP AK - Inaugural Meeting and School Choice Presentation
Thursday, August 8, 2013 from 6:30 PM to 8:30 PM (AKDT)
If you live on the Kenai Peninsula, please join us at our first public event in your area this Thursday, August 8th. As you know, Americans For Prosperity is starting up an Alaska state chapter, and we’ll be holding this organizational meeting to gather together conservative activists from the Kenai area. There will be free food and free speech, so bring your family and friends to enjoy a great evening of fellowship with like-minded political activists.
In addition to general organizational information about Americans For Prosperity-Alaska, we will also be providing information on one of the most important issues facing Alaska this year… School Choice and Alaska’s Blaine Amendment. Your Legislators will be re-convening in January and considering whether or not to give you the right to vote on abolishing the Blaine Amendment. I’ll provide you with the necessary background information, and the tools needed to effectively communicate with your legislators on this issue
