The 2021 Assessment for Learning Conference is a two day virtual learning experience. Conference sessions will be 'flipped' so that we can spend our live time together in smaller group discussions of content, questions of practice, and design.

Here's what you can expect at AFL 2021:

Design for Connection. All of the content we offer (flipped sessions, keynote provocations, design exercises) is in service of small group work and peer connection. We design these experiences so you can spend most of your time at the conference sharing knowledge, finding your people, and building together.

Collective Expertise. We believe in surfacing and connecting the enormous expertise that already exists within our network. When we bring in external experts, we invite them to join the community as learners. We do our best to value expertise in all of its many forms.

Walk the Talk. We model assessment for learning mindsets and practices in our design. Individual learning intentions. Embedded reflection. Relationships. Presentations of learning. Equity by design. We believe that applying what we’ve learned from our community is what make AFL gatherings so special.
