Join us for the 2017 Affirmatively Furthering Fair Housing Conference on April 13, 2017. Every year, Inland Fair Housing and Mediation Board (IFHMB) celebrates Fair Housing Month by hosting a housing event that gathers local community nonprofits, local governments, financial institutions, developers, policymakers, housing providers, and real estate professionals to discuss fair housing trends in our community.
This year, IFHMB will hold an Affirmatively Furthering Fair Housing Conference that will address fair housing trends and issues. Housing is interconnected with health, safety, education, jobs, and equality. IFHMB's Affirmatively Furthering Fair Housing Conference invites interested professionals to attend and learn more about how to use housing as a platform to support and sustain inclusive communities that are vibrant with diversity.
The Conference will include a fair housing training on Affirmatively Furthering Fair Housing requirements, and afternoon breakout sessions. Themes of the day will include:
- History of Fair Housing and Civil Rights
- Current Fair Housing and Civil Rights Groundwork
- Common Barriers To Fair Housing
- Our Role in Fair Housing as Stakeholders
Breakfast and lunch will be provided. Parking is available at the location free of cost. The event will include presentations and discussions. For any additional questions, or information on scholarships, please contact:
