Battery Storage for Resilience and Economic Benefits

Introduction to the current state of battery storage technologies and the potential resiliency and economic benefits batteries can provide – from customer bill savings to replacing power plants. Presentation will include examples of both utility-scale and behind-the-meter battery installations supported by Clean Energy Group’s Resilient Power Project (http://www.resilient-power.org).

Commercial Property Assessed Clean Energy

Abby Johnson, Executive Director of the Virginia PACE Authority will discuss the benefits of a new energy efficiency and resiliency financing tool known as Commercial Property Assessed Clean Energy or C-PACE. Specifically, the speaker will discuss how C-PACE can help make the financial case for installing high efficiency equipment or measures that reduce the impact of flooding, storm surges and storm water impact fees.
