Advocating for Youth in School: School Discipline and Behavior Supports

This training is part of the Advocating for Youth in School training series from Advocates fot Children of New York. Advocaing for Youth in School: School Discipline and Behavior Supports explores the NYC discipline code and types of school discipline. The training details the procedural rights of students facing discipline, including special protections for students with disabilities. Participants will work through a case example to gain hands-on experience and strengthen their ability to advocate for students facing classroom removal or suspension.

 

Please note that the training session begins at 2:00pm  In order to participate in this session, it is important to arrive on time.  Anyone arriving after 2:15pm will not be allowed to join the training.
