This interactive workshop will help civil society organisations understand and act against algorithmic discrimination.

Overview:
Part of the DIVERSIFAIR Erasmus+ project, this interactive workshop will help civil society organisations understand and act against algorithmic discrimination. Participants will explore the problem through an intersectional lens, apply legal frameworks, discuss successful advocacy strategies, and see how AI audits can be used to drive systemic change.


Aim:

To equip CSOs with practical tools and strategies to recognise, analyse, and advocate against harms caused by AI systems affecting marginalised communities.


Who should attend:

Civil society organisations, advocacy groups, and professionals working on social justice, equality, or rights.

  • Identify hidden harms in AI systems
  • Understand algorithmic discrimination using an intersectional lens
  • Gain practical advocacy strategies and learn from successful campaigns

  • Gemma Galdon-Clavell – Founder & CEO, Eticas.ai. Gemma is a pioneer in AI auditing and safety, helping organisations identify and correct bias in predictive and large language models.
  • Steven Vethman – Researcher, Sciences Po Law School.
    Steven contributes to the European DIVERSIFAIR project and researches AI technologies, their societal impact, and governance.
  • Raphaële Xenidis – Assistant Professor in European Law
    Raphaële specialises in European discrimination and equality law, with a focus on intersectionality and algorithmic discrimination.
