Learning Objectives:
At the conclusion of this activity the participants should be able to:

  • Identify the different options available for treatment of pulmonary hypertension in patients with congenital heart diseases.
  • Utilize the use of etiometry and its clinical application in the pediatric cardiac intensive care unit set up
  • Identify different factors that improve clinical outcomes in the intensive care unit
  • Ability to apply effective communication strategies with families and parents of children undergoing cardiac surgery.

Target Audience: All physicians including pediatric cardiologists, pediatric cardiovascular surgeons, pediatric cardiac anesthesiologists, pediatric critical care physicians, adult cardiologists, adult and pediatric gastroenterologists, pediatric nurses, pediatric intensivists, perfusionists, ECHO technicians, fellows, residents, medical students, pediatric respiratory therapists, developmental therapists and allied health professionals.
