Event description

Description

Our training day on nutrition advocacy will allow participants to explore the issue in depth, and learn how to develop targeted advocacy plans to make a real impact in the fight against malnutrition.

We'll cover:

  • What are the forms of malnutrition, and why malnutrition poses a life-long threat to health
  • What policies are needed from governments and donors to combat malnutrition in all its forms
  • Developing personal advocacy plans to push governments and donors to have effective policies and apply sufficient resources to tackle malnutrition
  • Practising advocacy communications that will have impact with decision-makers.

2019 is an important year for scaling up public pressure on nutrition, as existing global funding to fight malnutrition runs out in 2020. We will be offering a support package for people wanting to undertake a dedicated programme of advocacy on nutrition over the next year - there will be a short application process for this. Please get in touch if you'd like to learn more.
