Advocacy 101 starts with an overview of the policy-making process at the local and state legislative levels of government. The course then covers the basic forms of advocacy, messaging, base building, effective communications and creating issue campaigns. (Fundraising for Advocates is the companion course for Advocacy 101.) All registration fees are non-refundable unless the organizer cancels the webinar. Is the registration fee refundable?

The registration fee is non-refundable unless the organizer cancels the session. If a participant is unable to attend a session a credit will be placed on file that may be used at any time for a future program. The credit does not expire.

Is this a partisan program or supported by a political party? Are scholarships available?

The Political Institute for Women is an independent organization that is self-funded through the fees generated from hosting sessions. Financial aid is available on a first come, first serve basis. Email info@politicalinstituteforwomen.org to for all financial aid inquiries.

Who are our instructors?

Our Lead Instructors are women that currently or have previously worked in government or electoral politics. Our Lead Instructors are currently working as staff for members of the United States Congress and teach for our organization part-time.
