Event description

Description

If you or someone you know is affected by a bleeding disorder, life threatening chronic condition, or rare disease, then you know how difficult it can be to navigate the many systems that affect our care.

Everyday, our representatives make decisions that affect our insurance, our medical care systems, our lives - and we need to ensure our voice is heard!

Please join the Hemophilia Alliance of Maine, Maine Rare, the New England Hemophilia Association, and CSL Behring for an evening of advocacy, community, and empowerment! You will gain a basic understanding of the local and state legislative process and its value so that you can make sure your voice is heard loud and clear.

This free program especially designed for people who are affected by, or are connected to someone who is affected by a bleeding disorder, life threatening chronic condition, or rare disease, will show you how YOU at a local and state level can influence critical policy-making decisions and how those decisions relate to your daily life.

Through this evening's presentation, you’ll gain an understanding of the importance of connection with your local leaders, as well as some of the knowledge and skills needed to effectively communicate your ideas and concerns to officials.

Presenter: Karla White, Director, State Government Affairs, CSL Behring

This is a free of charge event generously sponsored by CSL Behring. Adults and children ages 12 and over are invited to attend. Dinner is included. Limited seating is available, please register today!
