Guest Speaker: Noah Brier--Called one of the 100 Most Creative People in Business by Fast Company Magazine, a "Social Media Inovator" by BusinessWeek and one of the iMedia 25 in 2010, a list of "cutting-edge creatives, strategists, and technology innovators with big ideas, who get results and collaborate openly to push internet marketing forward."

Noah Brier is co-founder of Percolate, a new company still in its development stage that aims to find better ways of connecting people with valuable and individualized content by combining the power of algorithms with human editors. Prior to founding Percolate, Noah was the executive director of strategy at The Barbarian Group, a digital marketing agency that works with blue chip brands such as GE, Samsung and Kellogg's. 

Noah is a recognized internet thinker and tinkerer: Called one of the 100 Most Creative People in Business by Fast Company Magazine, a "Social Media Inovator" by BusinessWeek and one of the iMedia 25 in 2010, a list of "cutting-edge creatives, strategists, and technology innovators with big ideas, who get results and collaborate openly to push internet marketing forward." 

What most of the awards recognize is how hard it is to nail down exactly what Noah is. While his title has been strategist, he also writes code and spent part of his career as a staff writer at American Demographics magazine, named the number seven magazine during his tenure there. He’s a marketer, a technologist, a writer and and a thinker. 

In addition to his work in the market world, Noah is an inventor, creating Brand Tags, a simple game that asked people to type in the first thing that popped into their head when they saw a random brand logo. Immediately after launch in 2008, the site was picked up by the Wall Street Journal, Advertising Age and NPR, leading to millions of tags and eventually a sale in early 2010.

In addition to Brand Tags, Noah is the co- founder of likemind, a coffee meetup that the New York Times described as "a monthly kaffeeklatsch for creative professionals." After started in New York nearly five years ago, the event has spread to over sixty cities around the world. Noah frequently writes for both publications and at his blog - NoahBrier.com. He has taught classes on new media and technology at University of Montana and VCU in addition to numerous speaking engagements around the world.
