The primary goal of this camp is to teach the main principles of engineering drawings and digital modeling skills. The ability to understand and practice effective design procedure will help develop spatial comprehension, creative and critical thinking. The team design assignment adopted in the camp is aimed at enhancing problem solving ability and collaboration skills.

In the first half of the camp, participants will be introduced to and gain a competence in the basics of 2D and 3D design and design thinking, as well as operations of 3D scanning and desktop 3D printing. The camp attendants will be assigned a design challenge, in which they will be formed into a team of two to three members where they will creatively solve a design problem using the concepts taught in the camp. The purpose of the design challenge is to allow students engage in a hands-on and iterative 3D printing activity to solidify the knowledge and design skills covered in the class.
