Adventure Hike up Pole Mountain 5-22-22
Event Information
About this event
Join Sonoma Land Trust and Ag + Open Space for a guided hike up the highest summit on the Sonoma Coast! This strenuous 15-mile hike traverses some of the most beautiful scenery in California. We will gain over 3,600' of elevation as we explore coastal prairie, riparian, redwood and oak woodland habitat all along our journey.
Level: Strenuous
There is no charge for this event, which is made possible by the voters of Sonoma County who fund the work of Ag + Open Space with a quarter-cent sales tax.
Please bring layers of clothing as weather on the coast can be quite different than inland. Be prepared for wind, fog, sun and heat all in the same day. Bring a bag lunch, plenty of water, a sun hat, sunscreen, sunglasses, a windbreaker and sturdy footwear.
Please, no smoking and no pets. (Although dogs on leash are allowed on the Jenner Headlands Preserve, the last part of this hike is on a property that does not allow dogs.)
