Event description

Description

“Be noble, for you are made of stars.” -Serbian proverb

Concert:nova shoots for the moon with a special sunset concert at Cincinnati Observatory. Join us under the stars, the observatory domes, and in the shadows of those massive telescopes as we present a program based on the wonder of space. Ted Nelson performs John Cage’s Etudes Borealis - for which the star charts of Atlas Borealis were used as a means of composition - and Michael Culligan brings us Eric Ewazen’s evocative Northern Lights for solo marimba.

Cincinnati Observatory - an historic national landmark - is home to the world’s oldest telescope still in use by the general public.
