Event description

Description

Kids will have a blast on bikes exploring Milwaukee with the Wisconsin Bike Fed's experienced staff. Our Milwaukee office has moved! Now located in Bay View. Still close to access for Oak Leaf Trail, Hank Aaron trail and Kinnickinnick River Trail. This session is a BEGINNERS session. We offer an Advanced Session the following week for those who want more distance and challenge or have taken our camps before.

Our expert safety instructors will teach your child how to bike safely and legally, including how to use hand signals, road positioning, turning, and proper helmet fitting. After we cover the basics, we will head out on our amazing local trail system and low-traffic neighborhood streets on our way to fun and unique destinations around Milwaukee.

Bike Camps are grouped by ability level. Beginner sessions may travel 10-20 miles a day, but include stops to rest depending on group ability. Advanced groups plan to go further with fewer stops. After one short camp, your child will become a more confident rider and learn more about how to safely get around on a bike. Unfortunately, due to time constraints, we cannot teach kids how to ride a bike if they have never learned. For information about learning how to ride a bike, or if you are unsure which camp to sign up for, please contact Bike Fed Program Manager, Michael Anderson.

Multiple child in same family discounts available. Contact us for details.

*** THIS CAMP HAS A MINIMUM ENROLLMENT OF 10, Camp may be cancelled if this minimum is not met, any registered at that point will receive full refund.***

Bikes are provided, but feel free to use your own. New helmets children can keep are provided for those who don't have one. We also provide healthy snacks and water, but please pack a lunch for your child. We have a refrigerator on site, but often times bring food along on rides so things that can be safely eaten while not being refrigerated are preferred.

Please inform staff of any medical conditions (including inhalers!) or special needs or allergies your child may have.
