Event description
Contemplating Miriam of Nazareth — Our Sister in the Communion of Saints

About this event

Saturday December 4, 9:30 - 11:00am (CST) VIA ZOOM

Wednesday December 8, 9:30 -11:00am (CST) VIA ZOOM

Facilitated by Tammy Winn

Remembering Mary as a prophet in the communion of saints, a woman who is truly sister to our strivings, allows the power of her life to encourage an ever-deeper relationship with the living God in whom our spirits rejoice.

We invite you to take time for Reflection to begin the Advent Season

Based on the work of theologian Elizabeth A. Johnson, we will reflect upon and pray with the mother of Jesus, Mary (Miriam in Hebrew). Together we will approach Miriam’s life in a historical way, allowing for new insights to inspire us. Additionally, we will ponder what God wishes to birth in our individual lives at this moment in time.

Our morning together will include time for small group conversation and reflection. While not required for attending this morning offering, reading "Truly Our Sister" by Elizabeth Johnson is suggested as preparation for our time together

Registration is required four days prior to each session to receive the zoom link. Zoom link will be emailed the day prior to each session. Please note that this program is offered on two dates and is not two separate sessions - please choose your preferred date when registering.

Zoom should be downloaded and setup prior to December 2nd.

Contact us at if questions. Please note that Tau Center is closed for Thanksgiving, so you may not receive a response until Monday Nov 29th
