The teams at the Nevertheless podcast and Ada’s List are delighted to extend an invitation to you to attend a panel discussion to examine the importance of Inclusive teams within education technology, including how global teams can impact AI and machine learning. Leading this discussion we have:
Tracy Chou is an entrepreneur, software engineer, and diversity advocate. She's currently in London for Entrepreneur First and exploring new startup ideas. She co-founded and still advises Project Include, working towards tech diversity and inclusion; she previously held engineering roles at Pinterest and Quora, and consulted for the U.S. Digital Service. Tracy has been named Forbes Tech 30 under 30, MIT Technology Review 35 Innovators under 35, and Fast Company Most Creative People in Business, and been profiled in Vogue, ELLE, and other media outlets. She holds an M.S. in Computer Science and a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from Stanford University.
Jyoti Chopra, Senior Vice President of Diversity & Inclusion at Pearson plc. Jyoti is an award winning global diversity, inclusion and sustainability leader based in New Jersey. Prior work experience includes: The United Nations; Merrill Lynch & Co.; Deloitte; and, Bank of New York Mellon. She currently serves on the Diversity Advisory Board for Toyota and for the Global Talent and Diversity Council at the Asia Society. She holds a B.A. Honors degree in Journalism from New York University and an M.B.A. from the University of Oxford.
Anjali Ramachandran is Director at Storythings, a storytelling studio that uses a variety of digital formats to tell complex stories in impactful ways, including through journalism, data, video, podcasts and art. Storythings works with corporate and non-profit clients like Pearson Education, Experian, the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation and the Omidyar Network - and specifically with Pearson on the Nevertheless podcast platform. Anjali is a co-founder of Ada's List, a global community for women (and all those who identify as women) in technology, with over 6000 members. She is on the Advisory Board of Angel Academe, an award-winning angel investment group that aims to get more High Net Worth women into angel investing, backing female entrepreneurs. She was listed in the BBC's 100 Women in 2014, and amongst the Top 100 UK Asians in Tech by Diversity UK in 2015 and 2016.
