Event description

Description

Health, Education & Welfare is pleased to present Advances in Lymphedema Care: Personal Empowerment 2018 the first-ever Lymphedema conference in Wisconsin specifically for Lymphedema survivors and their caregivers.

Featuring noted speakers on issues important to people living with Lymphedema, the event will raise awareness of this potentially life-threatening disease, and bring together those living with Lymphedema in a safe and welcoming environment to come together, and learn about resources and possibilities. We will educate, energize, and empower those with Lymphedema to lead the life they've always wanted.

Event proceeds will help create the first-ever financial aid fund in Wisconsin that is devoted solely to helping Lymphedema survivors afford their needed compression garments. We will also be dedicating the Shellie Stellrecht award for excellence in Lymphedema advocacy.

Event exhibitors include major manufacturers of products and compression garments for Lymphedema survivors, providing attendees the opportunity to speak with representatives, as well as learn more about Lymphedema related products. Certified Lymphedema physical therapists will be present to answer questions.

Event registration and check-in begins at 8:00 AM.
