DESCRIPTION
Windows are one of the most important features of a building envelope, allowing us to maintain a connection with the outdoors while we remain comfortable and safe indoors. The window industry has been challenged to deliver see-through products that provide energy efficiency, occupant comfort, safety, beauty and low maintenance. This session explores the elements of window design for energy performance and looks at advancements that have been made to meet ENERGY STAR® target levels for windows and doors. In order to receive credit for viewing this recorded session, you'll need to pass a short quiz. A link to the quiz will be provided in your registration confirmation email. Separate registration is required for each individual requiring continuing education credit. Be aware that many accrediting agencies will not allow you to take the same course for credit more than once; therefore, if you attended this session at the conference you may not be able to receive credit for viewing the webinar.

Joe's firm offers design evaluations, construction management and building failure analysis. He is certified in residential mechanical ventilation design and installation and advanced building science. Joe provides support and training as the technical director for the Focus on Energy New Homes Program.
Ross DePaola, NFRC Certified Simulator , Integrated Energy Services/WESTLab
Ross is owner of Integrated Energy Services doing business as WESTLab, a National Fenestration Rating Council (NFRC) certified simulation laboratory. WESTLab provides window energy performance simulation services to window manufacturers including Andersen Windows, Jeld-Wen and Marvin. Ross DePaola is an NFRC certified simulator and has been providing energy consulting services for over 25 years. Ross has also been instrumental in shaping Wisconsin's new construction energy codes and has served on code development committees with the State.
