Advanced Trainer’s Course
Advanced Trainer’s Course – September 2nd, 2017
It's easy for as humans to perceive our dogs as mini humans and forget their natural instincts and perception. To be an advanced dog trainer capable of handling serious behavior modification cases not only must we understand this as trainers, we must have the experience and communication abilities to have outer clients understand it too.
One of the things past students have reported back about learning trainer's skills through Tug Dogs courses is the tremendous insight they have gained by hearing and experiencing instructor Erin during the program.
Erin brings to the table not just training skills that you will need, but a perspective that will push you to better understand how to help dogs and their owners who are facing a wide range of issues.
If you are a professional trainer who already has the foundation leash handling and behavior basics down and are looking to take your business and skill sets to the next level, this advanced course is for you!
This course is available only to existing trainers who meet our pre-requisite standards. Email to learn more or apply:
As part of this advanced program we will be reviewing case studies of extreme dogs that have received training at Tug Dogs and will be working with some of them hands on.
From intense fear behavior, to defensive aggression, resource guarding to high fight drive, separation anxiety to leash reactivity we will be looking at some of the most challenging cases and how to handle them from start to finish.
Instructor Erin will be covering service dog training including not only hands on training but also how to structure a training program, goals, and process with a service dog client.
We will be reviewing the 2 core elements of service dog training, temperament testing, handler education, and more!
