About this event

This seminar builds on the skills and knowledge presented in Supervising for Success and is designed for nonprofit supervisors to build on their existing leadership skills by learning advanced techniques needed to be a better boss and leader. Participants will have an opportunity to problem solve their unique supervising challenges and opportunities. Opportunity to network and learn from other supervisors. Walk away with new approaches and techniques for working with your team in your leadership role to best accomplish your goals.

Topics include:

  • Adapting your leadership style to fit different situations and personalities
  • Approaching conflict management based on individual styles to create collaboration
  • Developing a coaching approach to supervising and managing
  • Building, coaching and motivating small teams
  • Correcting behaviors before they escalate
  • Giving effective feedback to develop more productive employees

Who Should Attend: Nonprofit Leaders and Managers - it is recommended to take Supervising for Success before taking Advanced Supervising for Success

This program meets on the following Thursdays from 9:00am to 12:00pm:

Virtual Seminar

Optimized for the virtual environment, this two day (½ days) seminar will consist of presentations, group discussions, breakout group sessions, polls and short breaks. This is an opportunity to do a deep dive on a new topic and leave with tools that you can put in to practice immediately.


Brianna Freiheit - Principal, RB Consulting Group, LLC

Brianna is a coach, trainer, and consultant with 20 years of experience working in and with nonprofit organizations and government agencies to create change. She has dedicated her career to strengthening individuals and communities, including work with a)plan coaching, the Cities of Santa Monica and Culver City, the Center for Nonprofit Management, the Downtown Women’s Center, the LAUSD Board of Education, Community Partners, and Public Allies DC. Brianna has led trainings for the University of Southern California and served as part-time lecturer for American Jewish University. She holds a Master of Public Administration from the University of Southern California with an emphasis in nonprofit management and leadership and a BS in Business Administration from the University of Colorado at Boulder.
