9:00 – 10:00: Optimizing CRISPR strategy to achieve potent and precise genome editing

Speaker: Lai Chan – Field Application Manager Functional genomics

During this presentation you will learn about :

  • Optimized strategies for CRISPR-Cas9 mediated genome editing, with emphasis on methods commonly used for delivery of guides RNAs and Cas9 as a ribonucleoprotein complex
  • The risk of off-target effects (OTEs): how to find and measure the frequency of OTEs including discussion of bioinformatic screening for OTEs and methods for unbiased CRISPR OTEs detection
  • Recent developments in CRISPR research, including a novel mutant Cas9 protein that has been evolved to reduce off-target gene editing while maintaining ontarget potency
