Students will participate in exercises and complete take-home assignments to be workshopped in class in order to help hone their voice as a writer. Students will also collaborate with the instructor and other students to develop professional writing skills such as meeting regular deadlines, pitching ideas, and working with a group to create an ensemble. The class will explore more advanced scene analysis, the ideas of satire and parody, and comedy’s role in social criticism. Learn to add depth to characters, and explore other mediums beyond the stage (video, podcast, etc.). (8 Weeks. Prerequisite: Intro to Sketch).
This class begins Tuesday, January 10th (6:00pm -8:00pm) and runs for eight weeks!
This class meets at ColdTowne Conservatory, 6929 Airport Blvd., Suite 131.
Register before January 9th to lock in the $200 early registration price. After the 19th, general admission returns to $225.
