About This Class
This class is for anyone who would like to learn how to enrich and fulfill the dogs here at the shelter. Shelter dogs are stressed. They don't like being in their kennel with only small amounts of human attention. It's an unnatural state of existence for them. They want to be in a pack, a group, a co-op. So while they are here, there are certain things you can do to enrich them - to use up their mental and physical energy, so that being in a small kennel is not as upsetting to them, because they are tired out!
The class will cover:
Body Language, Aggression, Clicker Training, Playgroups, Use of backpacks, Rollerblading, Cycling, Jogging, Advanced Basic Training, Mastering the "walk", Interactive Toys, Interactive Play with Humans, How to teach fetch, Desentization, Socialization.
There IS a dog trainer/behaviorist inside everyone! It's not as hard as you may think it is! :)
