The Advanced Project Management training will provide practical skills, concepts and techniques that can be applied to successfully manage projects and programs. The training is organized around the ten project management knowledge areas and five processes as defined in the Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK® Guide) - Fifth Edition by The Project Management Institute (PMI®). Instructors will include several case studies using real life projects to explain how project management processes were applied at various stages of the project life-cycle and their outcomes. Upon successful completion of this training, students earn 35 hours of professional (contact) education that can be applied to the Project Management Professional (PMP®) certification examination.
Participants must have attended at the least the introductory 1-day Fundamentals of Project Management Training. The 5-day Advanced Project Management training is the next level in the series of training, following the Intermediate 3-day Fundamentals of Project Management training.

Attendees will receive a copy of the Project Management Institute (PMI®) 5th Edition of PMBOK (Project Management Body of Knowledge) Guide. The fee will be $419.00 for the course.
Attendees who already have a copy of the Project Management Institute (PMI®) 5th Edition of PMBOK (Project Management Body of Knowledge) Guide will need to bring this to training. The fee for the course for those with the guide will be $369.00.

About the instructors:
Zahid Khan, PE, PMP, MSCE has 20 years of experience in organizational project management for government agencies. He manages portfolios, programs, projects, and directs PMO functions including project management process improvement, project governance development, and controlling projects. He teaches project management courses through the PMI Registered Education Provider Program.
Khaled EL-Guindy (Gindi), MBA,PE,PMP,CCP has over 32 years of professional experience in construction project management and program management that extends over four countries. He currently is a project control engineer with the King County Wastewater Treatment Division (Seattle). He also teaches several subjects at Renton Technical College and project management classes through the PMI Registered Education Provider program.
An hour lunch break is included; lunch on own.
