Instructional strategies that promote distributed practice (regular course participation throughout a semester) and collaborative learning will be discussed. Advanced technologies and activities such as embedding video and interactive media into Blackboard course environments will be presented. Issues regarding reliable and consistent delivery of instruction and student integrity and ethics will be discussed. Upon completing the workshop, participants will have a better understanding of how to incorporate instructional strategies and technologies that increase interactivity, participation, security, and learner satisfaction. (This session builds upon the Online Course Design Workshop offered on 3/18 from 3:30-5:00 however attendance at the earlier workshop is not a prerequisite).
